Faecal calprotectin extraction device BÜHLMANN CALEX® Cap pre-filled with buffer, for preparation of faecal samples. Box of 50

The BÜHLMANN CALEX® Cap faecal preparation device is specifically designed to simplify sample handling and improve laboratory workflow when using the BÜHLMANN faecal calprotectin assays (both fCAL® and Quantum Blue® formats). The sample pin, and collar on the tube ensures a precise amount of stool sample is placed into the buffer without the requirement for weighing. The CALEX® Cap device can be loaded directly onto many automated ELISA processors without the need to decant or dilute the sample.

Sampling method:

The white cap is removed by twisting clockwise and pulling up

Dip the sample pin into the stool and twist before removing; repeat 3-5 times in different places in the stool

Return the sampling pin to the tube and press firmly down - you will feel and hear two clicks as it locks into place

The sample pin, and collar on the tube ensures a precise amount of stool sample is placed into the buffer without the requirement for weighing.

The white cap is designed to be removed and locked into place only once.

Vortex the CALEX with the white cap pressed down securely so that the stool sample is removed from the pin and into the buffer before processing further

There is excellent correlation with the gold standard weighing method.

Samples are stable for up to 3 days at ambient
