Automation

Cell / Tissue / Bacterial Culture
AeraSeal™ films are 140µm thick hydrophobic porous rayon sealing films including medical-grade adhesive for tissue culture plates, bio-blocks, and 96-well plates where gas exchange is necessary for cell or bacterial growth.
Fluorescence / Luminescence
Light-reflecting films for use in luminescence and microscopy applications, reducing stray light and well-to-well crosstalk.
HPLC
With high throughput HPLC systems using solvents, getting a good seal can be problematic. These sealing films all have special features which avoid tip fouling and strong solvent resistant adhesives, making them particularly suitable for this application.

X-Pierce pre-cut sealing films are also recommended for protection of samples in 96-well plates from splash-out during sonication using Microtips and Multi-Element Probes with ultrasonic apparatus available from Sonics & Materials, Inc.
Sealing Paddles and Rollers

Ensure a good seal  pressing film down with either the plate roller or paddle to secure a uniform seal around all wells on 96-well, 384-well, and 1536-well plates.
