Microplate Sealing

Perfect for auto-sampling on robotic systems a pre-cut "X" over each well of the X-Pierce™ films, creates flaps for easy sample access. The adhesive free zone of ZoneFree™ film pierces easily without risk of adhesive fouling.

AeraSeal™ films are 140µm thick hydrophobic porous rayon sealing films including medical-grade adhesive for tissue culture plates, bio-blocks, and 96-well plates where gas exchange is necessary for cell or bacterial growth.

Light-reflecting films for use in luminescence and microscopy applications, reducing stray light and well-to-well crosstalk.

With high throughput HPLC systems using solvents, getting a good seal can be problematic. These sealing films all have special features which avoid tip fouling and strong solvent resistant adhesives, making them particularly suitable for this application.

These sealing films are clear for colorimetric assays and minimise evaporation and well-to-well contamination. Ideal for short term incubation or storage applications.

X-Pierce pre-cut sealing films are also recommended for protection of samples in 96-well plates from splash-out during sonication using Microtips and Multi-Element Probes with ultrasonic apparatus available from Sonics & Materials, Inc.

Ensure a good seal  pressing film down with either the plate roller or paddle to secure a uniform seal around all wells on 96-well, 384-well, and 1536-well plates.
