Tau Proteins
Tau is a microtubule-associated protein responsible for regulating the assembly and structural maintenance of microtubules.
However, in individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, tau becomes abnormally hyperphosphorylated, ultimately causing the microtubules to disassemble, and forming insoluble aggregates known as Neurofibrillary tangles. Our collection of tau primary antibodies can be used to detect different isoforms of both native and phosphorylated tau protein.
