Nucleic Acid Isolation

Reagents for the isolation of DNA including Proteinase K and Ethachinmate.

Proteinase K is a member of the serine protease family and is a highly active stable endopeptidase with a broad spectrum of action. Used in the isolation of native high molecular nucleic acids.

Ethachinmate is a neutral polyacrylamide polymer solution used for recovering extremely small quantities of nucleic acids using ethanol.

Also available is the Wako DNA Extractor kit makes DNA isolation simple. The Iodide extraction method negates the use of phenol and chloroform for safe and easy handling and the process can be performed in a single tube reducing contamination risk.

The DNA Extractor range provides DNA extracts of high quality and yield suitable for a number of down-stream applications and analysis.

Using Ethachinmate 20ng/ml of DNA (>100bps) or RNA (>120bps) can be recovered without a low temperature incubation step.
