Cluster Tubes and Caps

A great alternative to deep well plates, Alpha’s racked cluster tubes conform to the SBS footprint and are just as versatile for automated high throughput screening (HTS).

Available in 8- or 12-tube strips or individual tube formats, cluster tubes, also known as organised microtubes or microtube dilution vials, can offer greater flexibility when you need to access a single sample or sample set. These autoclavable, lidded racks and tubes are manufactured from tough polypropylene and perfectly suited to cold storage. Racked tube strips feature a printed alphanumeric index on the rack, a clear lid free from markings (a cardboard index card is provided) and orientation notches at position H1.

The individual, racked tubes are supplied in a rack with a moulded alphanumeric index and a frosted lid. Refill tubes are available. Compatible plug cap strips are available in both 8- and 12-strip formats, manufactured from non-autoclavable, low-density polyethylene; both sterile and non-sterile options are offered. Each cap features an individual tab to aid removal, and strips can be easily cut into individual caps if required.
