Rheumatoid inflammatory Disease Monitoring

Assays for C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Serum Calprotectin (MRP8/14).

CRP is recognised as one of the most sensitive acute phase proteins and is elevated in many diseases with a component of active inflammation or tissue destruction.
Release of MRP8/14 at sites of inflammation makes it a potent acute phase reactant. This biomarker has been reported to be useful in a number of inflammatory disorders including Rheumatoid arthritis (Ehrchen et al.; leukocyte biol, 2009).
