Product Information
Phos-tag™ Mixed reagents for Phos-tag Common Solution 5X manufactured by Nard Institute Ltd and distributed in association with FUJIFILM Wako Chemicals
Phos-tag™ is a novel labelling system for analysis of phosphorylation developed by the Department of Functional Molecular Science at Hiroshima University. The functioning Phos-tag molecule contains two divalent metal ions and recognises the phosphate monoester group.
Phos-tag Mixed reagents for Phos-tag Common Solution 5X is used to prepare Phos-tag fluorescent gel stain reagents for SDS-PAGE gels. These gel stains can be used at physiological pH 7-8 where no dephosphorylation occurs enabling detection of proteins phosphorylated at histidine (pHis) and aspartic acid (pAsp) which are susceptible to hydrolysis under acidic conditions. Use in conjunction with Phos-tag Yellow (380-15241), Magenta (386-15221), Cyan (389-15211) or Aqua (382-15201).
Each vial of Mixed reagents for Phos-tag Common Solution 5X is reconstituted with water to give 500ml of reagent that is used to prepare Phos-tag fluorescent gel stain solution and to equilibrate and wash gels during the staining protocol.
