After being secreted from various cells, extracellular vesicles (EVs) stably exist in body fluids and are currently attracting a lot of clinical attention as a messenger for cell-to-cell communication and biomarkers for disease, among many others.
The MagCapture™ Exosome Isolation method utilises Tim4 immobilised magnetic beads, which binds to phosphatidylserine (PS) expressed on the surface of EVs. Intact EVs are then eluted by Ca2+ chelating agents, such as EDTA.
Features of the novel PS-affinity method version 2:

-Improved recovery efficiency
