DNA Extractor® TIS Kit produced by Wako Pure Chemicals

DNA Extractor® TIS Kit is a sodium iodide based DNA isolation method for use with human and animal parenchymal tissue. The sodium iodide procedure enables safe extraction without the use of phenol and chloroform. This extraction procedure causes less oxidation of DNA than conventional techniques and in addition the kit contains an oxidation inhibitor to further reduce DNA oxidation during isolation. This makes DNA Extractor TIS Kit particularly suitable for investigators wishing to quantify the oxidative stress marker 8-Hydroxy-2’-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG).
