Phos-tag™ Biotin BTL-104 10mg manufactured by Nard Institute and Manac Incorporated and distributed in association with Wako Pure Chemicals.
Phos-tagTM is a novel labelling system for analysis of phosphorylation. The Phos-Tag, developed by the Department of Functional Molecular Science at Hiroshima University, recognises the phosphate monoester group. Phos-tag biotin can be used in Western Blot as an alternative to an anti-phospho antibody or with streptavidin agarose as part of a spin column for purification. For Western Blot detection of phosphorylated proteins the separated proteins should be blotted onto a PVDF membrane and after incubating with the Phos-tag biotin a streptavidin -conjugated HRP used in a secondary incubation before detection of chemiluminescence.
