MagCapture™ microRNA Iso Kit Human Ago 2 produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemical Corporation

The name microRNA (miRNA) is given to functional, low molecular weight RNA comprising approximately 22 ribonucleotides. Such microRNA is known to regulate gene expression and play a role in the transcriptional mechanisms of eukaryotic cells. Mature microRNA in the cytoplasm and nucleus will be introduced through several processing pathways to RNA -induced silencing complex (RISC) and transferred to target mRNAs to suppress the translation.

The MagCapture microRNA Isolation kits use Anti-Ago antibodies immobilised on magnetic beads to immunoprecipitate Ago-binding microRNAs and mRNA from human cells and tissues. The kits can also be used to isolate Ago-bound microRNAs from serum, plasma or conditioned cell culture medium.

Following immunoprecipitation microRNA can be purified using a choice of protocols. The Spin Column purification option provides high purity RNA, alternatively a one-step elution method can be used for a high-yield of RNA. Including in the kit instructions are optimised protocols for using cells, tissues, plasma/serum and conditioned medium.
