Product Information
Creatinine is a metabolite which is produced by creatine phosphate directly or dehydration of creatine in muscle and nerve. It is excreted from the body through kidney glomerular filtration.
LabAssay™ Creatinine offered by Wako is based on an in vitro colorimetric Jaffé method for the quantitative determination of creatinine mouse serum or urine. Jaffe’s reaction: Creatinine in the sample reacts with picric acid in alkaline solution to produce orange condensate.
Quantitation of total creatinine in the sample can be made by measuring the absorbance of the orange pigment.
