Anti-Human Tenascin-C rat monoclonal antibody produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemical Corporation
Tenascins are extracellular matrix glycoproteins, abundent in the extracellualr matrix of developing vertebrate embryos and they reappear around healing wounds and in the stroma of some tumors. The tenascin family comprises tenascin-C, tenascin-R, tenascin-X and tenascin-W. Tenascin-C is produced by migrating cells in the embryo like the neural crest and is also abundent in developing tendons, bone and cartilage.
Tenascin-C is also produced in cancer cells and may be a potential biomarker for cancer detection and prognosis.
Monoclonal Anti Human Tenascin-C antibody is produced by hybridoma Clone 3-6C2, established by fusing mouse myeloma cells NS1 and spleen cells of Wistar rat immunized with tenascin-C, which is purifi ed from the GIT medium culture supernatant of human myeloma cells A375, and Freund’s complete adjuvant.
