APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing and storage. These conical-bottomed versatile and durable tubes are manufactured from high clarity, medical grade polypropylene and have been developed for use in multiple laboratory environments. The APEX® 0.5ml Conical Bottom Graduated Screw-Cap Tube is 39.88mm in height with an opening of outer diameter 10.41mm and inner diameter 8.38mm. It is graduated in 100µl increments for more accurate sample volume estimation. It is compatible with the APEX® Standard Screw-Cap, the APEX® Tethered Screw-Cap, and the APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap which are supplied in a variety of colours and available to order separately. A wide range of Racks is also available for working on the bench or for the safe, long-term storage of tubes in the freezer. The tubes and caps are manufactured from the same material and share expansion coefficients to provide uniform rates of expansion and contraction in response to temperature changes. The tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20000g and are suitable for use within a temperature range of -196C to 121C making them suitable for boiling applications and storage of frozen samples. However they should not be immersed in liquid nitrogen. APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are certified free of RNase, DNase and DNA. Sterile versions are gamma-irradiated and certified free of pyrogens. They are supplied in a pack of 500.
