Product Information
The carboxypeptidases are a group of proteases which cleave proteins at peptide bonds near their C-terminus. Carboxypeptidase M is a cell membrane-bound enzyme, as denoted by the M, that specifically cleaves C-terminal arginine or lysine residues.
Using flow cytometry of Human iPS lung progenitor cells it has been shown that high CPM expression can be used to differentiate alveolar and airway epithelial cells from wider cell populations. In addition to these studies indicating carboxypeptidase M’s potential as a marker for alveolar and airway epithelial cells, studies have also shown that the enzyme can also be found on the membranes of liver and ventral anterior foregut endoderm precursor cells.

These are the recommended dilution factors for the following applications:
•Flow Cytometry: 1:100~200
•Immunofluorescence: 1:100~1000
•Western Blot: 1:1000
