Gel Documentation System
Compact and simple gelLITE Gel and Clarit-E gel documentation systems
gelLITE Gel Documentation System
gelLITE offers an economic and effective solution for agarose gel imaging.
The manually controlled camera zoom and focus provides users complete control of their imaging, while intuitive genePIX acquisition software enables a fast and efficient workflow. A 302nm UV transilluminator enables imaging of large format agarose gels or stained protein gels up to 20 x 20 cm. The UV transilluminator also slides out from the main body of the system allowing gel extraction of DNA fragments.
A 5 Megapixel camera gives excellent low light sensitivity for clear resolution of closely spaced DNA bands and ensures even low levels of fluorescence are detected. genePIX acquisition software is included free of charge and uses application based work flows to simplify gel imaging.
The geneQUANT analysis software features automated lane and band detection, pre-loaded DNA ladder standards for simple quantification and automated report creation for documentation of results perfect in a GLP environment.
Ideal for:

Clarit-E Gel Documentation System
The Clarit-E Gel Documentation system is simple, inexpensive and ultra compact.
It contains a 16 bit CCD digital camera with a superb resolution of 12.1 mega pixels. For added convenience, limited space and budget requirements, it can be used computer-free. A variety of images can be captured from agarose and other fluorescent gels, colorimetric gels, autoradiography film and blotting membranes. The system is fitted with a 55mm ethidium bromide filter and has a safety switch to turn off the UV transilluminator when the door is opened. Files can be saved in a variety of formats for transfer to computer systems for storage and analysis.
An optional WiFi memory card is also available for transfer of data to a PC without the need for a direct cable connection. The Clarit-E Gel Documentation system can be directly connected to a thermal printer - EL4070 - or to many other commercially available printers.
Key Features:
12.1 mega pixel digital camera
Image is viewed from a 8” TFT colour monitor
Lightweight compact hood with easy access door and inner built-in lights
Safety door switch
Includes flash card, flash card reader and Ethidium bromide filte
