Immunoglobulin M IgM turbidimetric assay manufactured by Dialab.


IgM is important in early response to infections. The measurement of IgM is important for typing immunodeficiencies and myelomas. IgM plays an important role in the humoral defence of the body. Serum levels may be increased in all kind of acute infections. Elevated levels in cord serum suggest clinical infection in the newborn.This Dialab IgM Immunoturbidimetric assay is a ready to use, dual reagent system (R1: 1x10ml; R2: 2x25ml). The assay of IgM is based on turbidimetric measurement. Turbidity is caused by the formation of antigen-antibody insoluble immune complexes accelerated and enhanced in the presence of PEG.


Assay range 10-500 mg/dL. Suitable for manual and automated procedure. . Calibrate with Dialab Protein Calibrators High (A00580) or Low (A00701). Suggested QC are Dialab Protein Controls (A00590 & A08591). Each kit provides 50 determinations when using a manual method.
