Immunoglobulin A IgA turbidimetric assay manufactured by Dialab.
The measurement of IgA is important for typing immunodeficiencies and myelomas. Furthermore it plays a role in acute and chronic infections as first of defence. Increased levels may be found in acute infectious hepatitis, chronic aggressive hepatitis, postherpatic/cryptogenic cirrhosis, active alcoholic cirrhosis, chronis infection, rheumatoid arthritis, polydermatomyositis, mixed connective tissue disease.
This Dialab IgA Immunoturbidimetric assay is a ready to use, dual reagent system (R1: 1x10ml; R2: 2x25ml) for quantitative determination of IgA in serum. The assay of IgA is based on turbidimetric measurement. Turbidity is caused by the formation of antigen-antibody insoluble immune complexes is accelerated and enhanced by the presence of PEG.
Assay range 10-650 mg/dL. Suitable for manual and automated procedure. Calibrate with Dialab Protein Calibrators High (A00580) or Low (A00701). Suggested QC are Dialab Protein Controls (A00590 & A08591). Each kit provides 50 determinations when using a manual method.
