Alpha 1 Acid Glycoprotein immunoturbidimetric assay manufactured by Dialab
Alpha-I-acid Glycoprotein, also known as orosomucoid, is an acute phase protein produced in the liver. Measurement of alpha-I-acid glycoprotein may assist in the diagnosis of connective tissue disease, tuberculosis, infections, inflammation and cancers of the liver, breast and pancreas.
The Dialab Alpha I Acid Glycoprotein assay is a dual, liquid stable reagent system comprising 10ml of antibody reagents and 2x25ml of PEG buffer. The method is based upon the specific reaction between the alpha-I-acid glycoprotein antibody in the reagent and alpha-I-acid glycoprotein in the patient sample that forms an insoluble immunocomplex resulting in increased solution turbidity.
The assay range is 0-300mg/dl and should be calibrated with the Dialab Protein Calibrator High level (A00580). The suggested QCs are Protein controls A00590 and A08591.
Unopened reagent is stored at 2-8C. Open reagents stored tightly capped at 2-8C when not in use is stable until the advertised expiration date. Open stability at 18-25C is one month.
