Product Information

The BD Vacutainer® Serum blood collection tubes with a Silica Clot Activator additive are used for serum analysis. The PET tubes are available in a range of sizes and can be identified by a red cap.

This PET tube has a 10.0ml draw volume and measures 16mm diameter and 100mm height. The red cap has the BD Hemogard™ tube closure, designed to protect from blood which may splatter when the tube is opened. The rubber stopper is recessed inside the plastic shield, preventing exposure to blood present on the stopper.

Clotting times:
The recommended minimum clotting time for the serum tubes is 60 minutes.

Centrifugation conditions:
≤ 1300 g for 10 minutes at 18-25°C.

This product is provided in cases of 1000 tubes (10 packs of 100 tubes).
