The SafetySpace™ Filtered 0.1-10µl tips are 32mm in length and supplied sterile in 10 racks of 96 tips. The tips are made from the highest quality virgin polypropylene and incorporate a polyethylene (PE) filter without any “self-sealing” additives to avoid any interference with the sample. The filter barrier helps protect against aerosol and liquid cross-contamination of the sample and/or the pipette and reduces the need for pipette maintenance. SafetySpace™ Filter Tips are designed to leave more space between the sample and the filter than conventional filter tips. This assures pipetting confidence with any type of liquid or using any pipetting technique as the risk of absorption of precious sample by the filter is minimised. The safety space feature is particularly useful when pipetting foaming liquids such as buffers and proteins; pipetting solvents; multiple dispensing functions of electronic pipettes; reverse pipetting and any other application requiring extra space in the tip. SafetySpace™ Filter Tips are compatible with the Sartorius Biohit Family Picus NxT, Picus, eLINE, mLINE, Proline Plus and Proline pipettes. Ergonomic and light tip attachment and ejection is enhanced with the Optiload feature of Sartorius pipettes and ensures the highest possible accuracy and reproducibility. The SafetySpace™ tip racks are colour-coded for easy volume-matching with the suitable Sartorius pipette. They are also compatible with a variety of other pipette manufacturers’ models due to their universal design. Strict quality standards, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, are followed from tip R&D to production and delivery. The tips are manufactured in ISO 8 certified clean room conditions to avoid any contamination. They are pre-sterilised by e-beam irradiation and tested lot-by-lot and certified RNase, DNase and endotoxin free. Lot-specific sterility certificates are available upon request. The tips and racks in this range are manufactured from environmentally friendly materials that are 100% recyclable or can be incinerated as waste energy.
