Sample transport insulated shipper for mailing of temperature sensitive UN3373 samples includes 1x300g and 1x400g gel packs. Pack of 10

These handy insulated shipper boxes are ideal for keeping samples cool during overnight transport. They are suitable for use as an outer rigid box for UN3373 air or road transport of Biological samples category B when combined with primary and secondary packaging appropriate to the mode of transport. They comprise of a box which has been drop tested according to the regulations, an insulating foil bubble pouch and 2 gel packs - 1x 300g and 1x 400g. It also contains a security seal for a tamper evident closure once packed. The gel packs need to be frozen for at least 24 hours prior to use, and then allowed to acclimatise at room temperature for around 15 minutes prior to packing with samples for transport.

Quick and easy to use simply add the 300g frozen gel pack to the bottom of the pouch, add your samples in their secondary packaging, then the frozen second 400g gel pack. Fold the insulated liner and seal with the adhesive strip. Close the box and it's ready for shipment.

The system offers a level of thermal protection but cannot provide full temperature control. The system has been tested to ensure it will keep samples chilled for up to 24 hours. Please be aware that different external weather/temperature conditions will cause a variation in the time it takes to defrost the gel packs and allow the temperature to rise.
