Safe-Cone Filter Plus 2.51mm diameter Polyethylene for Sartorius Biohit Pipettes Pack of 50 Protects the pipette and sample from contamination

The self-sealing Safe-Cone Filters, plus, are 2.51mm in diameter and are suitable for use with a variety of Sartorius Biohit Family pipettes. The Polyethylene (PE) filter protects your sample from contaminants that may be present in the pipette barrel and also acts as a final barrier to prevent any fluids and liquid vapours from reaching the internal components of your pipette. Safe-Cone Filters, plus, are non-sterile and are intended for demanding applications such as radioactive work, cell culture, bacterial and virological work as well as molecular biology work. The interval of changing the filter depends on the application and the sample. Plus Safe-Cone Filters generally require less frequent changing than the Safe-Cone Filters, standard. Daily filter changing is recommended for demanding applications or after 50 to 250 pipetting cycles in less critical work. The filter should be changed immediately in the case of over-aspiration. To ensure safety of the user, forceps should be used to change the filter. The forceps are supplied with all Sartorius Biohit family pipettes and are also available for purchase separately. The mLINE® pipettes feature a built-in filter ejector for easier removal. The tip cone of the pipette should be cleaned with ethanol (70%) prior to assembling a new filter. Safe-Cone Filters, plus, are available for all Sartorius Biohit Family pipettes above the 10µl volume range.
