Phos-tag™ SuperSep™ 12.5% acrylamide 17 well pre-cast polyacrylamide gel for Bio-Rad System manufactured by FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation.

Phos-tag™ is a novel labelling system for the analysis of phosphorylation developed by the Department of Functional Molecular Science at Hiroshima University. The Phos-tag SuperSep™ range of pre-cast SDS gels is produced with 50µmol/L phos-tag acrylamide using zinc and the supplemental metal. The dinuclear zinc complex of acrylamide-pendant phos-tag ligand recognises the phosphate monoester group. Phos-tag SDS-PAGE is a phosphate affinity electrophoresis method acting as a Gel Shift Assay to distinguish between proteins in phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated states.

This pre-cast gel contains 12.5% polyacrylamide and has 17 wells with a volume of 25µl. This pre-cast gel is compatible with the Bio-Rad® Mini-PROTEAN® Tetra Cell.
