The Plasma Protein Calibrator is supplied as ready-to-use liquid and is produced using human serum. The Calibrator is intended for use with immunoturbidimetric methods. Assigned values are lot dependent and determined under rigorously standardised conditions by mean calculation of the results obtained in multiple determinations and using a quantitative immunoturbidimetric method standardised against CRM 470 (Certified Reference Material) from BCR (EG Community Bureau of Reference), corresponding to RPPHS (Reference Preparation for protein in Human Serum) and CAP RPSP-3 (Reference Preparation for Serum Proteins Lot 3) was the reference material available from the College of American Pathologists.
For use with immunoturbidimetric assays for alpha-1antitrypsin, alpha 1 acid glycoprotein, alpha 2 macroglobulin, Albumin, Antithrombin III, C1 esterase inhibitor, ceruloplasmin, C3, C4, Haptoglobin, IgA, IgG, IgM, Kappa Light Chain, Lambda Light Chain, prealbumin and Transferrin.
