Alpha Laboratories PCR plates are manufactured to exacting specifications using the highest grade polypropylene. The moulds are designed using the latest computer design enhancements. For complete assurance, plates are routinely certified free from DNAse, RNAse, DNA and detectable PCR inhibitors.
This low profile semi-skirted design has straight sides and a raised edge around the perimeter of the plate which can support a second plate on top such as a filtration plate. Often referred to as a FAST PCR plate, it also has small cut out areas on the ends and sides of the plate for robotic handling. A low rim around the top of each well which helps to prevent accidental cross contamination. The plate has a printed alphanumeric reference in a sharply contrasting black colour for easy well identification, and an orientation cut in position A1.
