MetalFree tubes are perfect for ICP-MS procedures, environmental, soil and water analysis. Uniquely manufactured, these tubes are made from 100% virgin ultra-low metal medical grade polypropylene resins, free from Oleamide, diHEMDA and phthalate. Accompanying flat style caps are made from easy to label colorant free polyethylene. A large smudge resistant panel allows the tubes themselves to be labelled for sample identification. Tube walls are thick and durable, withstanding centrifugation forces of up to 17,000g.

Tubes remain functional within temperatures ranging from -80°C to 122°C, so are suitable for autoclaving and freezing. During autoclaving, caps must be loosely attached to tubes. Each tube is 118mm in length, with an internal diameter of 15mm, and an external diameter of 17mm. Tubes are lot tested, certifying them free from ATP, RNase, DNase, and Endotoxin/Pyrogen. A guaranteed sterility assurance level of 10‾⁶ is achieved via gamma radiation, following ISO 11137 validated procedures for sterility.

A proprietary manufacturing process results in ultra-low levels of trace metals, with elements tested, via ICP-MS analysis, and certified below one part per billion including: Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Vanadium, Cobalt, Lithium, Cadmium, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Sodium, Chromium, Lead, Mercury, Aluminum, Silicon, Nickel, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium and Arsenic.
