The SampleTite™ Prime Specimen Containers have been designed for applications where strict adherence to regulatory requirements for the safe collection, storage and transportation of biological samples is essential.
The white caps are manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) while the jars are manufactured from durable polypropylene and are available to order separately.
SampleTite™ Prime Specimen Containers are food contact approved and testing has been carried out to for suitability with aggressive chemicals such as formaldehyde. They are widely used in a range of applications including pathology, histology, water sampling and metals analysis.
The caps have easy to grip ridges to ensure opening and closing the container is easy, even when wearing gloves. These robust containers are ideal for liquid or solid biological specimen collection, transportation and storage in harsh conditions.
A process validation has been carried out on these disposable plastic specimen containers to ensure the unique “double seal” closure technology remains leak-proof under a pressure differential of not less 95 kPa (0.95 bar,14 psi). The caps are only certified to be leak-proof to 95kPa when used with the SampleTite™ Prime range of jars.
This certification makes them suitable for sample transport according to UN3373 packaging instructions, when combined with appropriate secondary and tertiary packaging such as Rigid Flexible Packaging Systems.
