Product Information

These culture test tubes are perfect for a variety of laboratory applications, including Radioimmunoassays (RIAs), coagulation and bacteriology, in addition to general laboratory protocols.

Manufactured from virgin polystyrene using precision moulding techniques, each tube is made to tight tolerances of size and shape, ready to use straight from the pack. No mould release agents are used in the manufacturing process, minimising contaminants and their possible effects, such as interference with RIA test and reduction in culture viability. The use of virgin polystyrene, instead of glass as had previously been the norm, guarantees no glass activation during all tests, whilst still providing a strong, clear tube capable of use with centrifugation speeds of up to 1400g.

These polystyrene tubes can be used with aqueous solutions, weak acids and mild bases. However, these tubes can and must not be used with aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbons, organic solvents and cannot be autoclaved.
