The Alpha Laboratories’ sterile, triple vented 95mm x 16mm petri dish is perfect for microbiological culture of anaerobes and other long-term culture applications.
Manufactured from high-grade polystyrene these plates offer exceptional transparency and culture observation. Designed with 3 vents spaced equally around the circumference of the plate, the lids sit slightly above the plate bottom. This creates a small gap and allows for easy gas exchange between the dish and the outside. This increased gaseous exchange is useful for growing aerobes and is particularly effective at minimising condensation. A ridge on the perimeter of the lid allows these plates to stack easily and renders them non-slip allowing for exceptional ease of use.
These plates are manufactured aseptically in clean rooms of at least ISO class 8, in accordance with ISO 14644-1 to ensure freedom from biological contaminants, allowing you to culture with increased confidence.
