Faecal immunochemical test buffer for use on the HM-JACKarc analyser
Product code: 065555
Pack Size: 250ml
CE Verified: IVDR
Product Information
The EXTEL HEMO-AUTO HS Buffer is a bottle of solution for direct loading onto the HM-JACKarc analyser, for use alongside the latex reagent. The HM-JACKarc analyser is a quantitative faecal immunochemical testing analyser used in the quantification of haemoglobin in faeces.
Background:
Blood in faeces could be a symptom of a range of gastroenterological complaints: colorectal cancer (CRC), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and diverticular disease, for example. The use of a marker such as blood in the stool has been used for CRC screening programmes for over 10-years, originally with a guaiac based, qualitative technology, referred to as faecal occult blood (gFOB). The faecal immunochemical test is now used in symptomatic referral and screening programmes, to help triage patient care appropriately, identify bowel cancer earlier, and improve laboratory workflow.
Product Specification:
One bottle of 250 ml of buffer solution, which can be loaded directly onto the analyser. One bottle is sufficient for around 1000 tests.
Handling and Storage:
Store in a cool, dark, place at 2 - 8 C. Do not freeze. Onboard stability (reaction must be performed at room temperature) is 14 accumulated days. Once opened, the buffer can be stored at 2 – 8 C until the expiry date.
