Quick CBB kit produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemical Corporation

The Quick-CBB Plus kit enables rapid staining of protein bands without the need to pre-fix the gel before staining. Quick-CBB Plus does not use organic solvents such as methanol or acetic acid. Proteins within the gel can be stained in under an hour with low background.
A rapid staining protocol using a microwave to speed up the stain uptake can reduce the protocol time to just 10 min. Pre-mixed stain solution containing Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB G-250).
Quick-CBB Plus 250ml Store at room temperature.

Standard protocol:
Wash gel with deionised water 2 x 5min
Stain with Quick-CBB Plus x 30-60min
Wash with deionised water

Rapid microwave protocol for SDS-PAGE:
Pour Quick-CBB Plus over gel and cover dish with microwaveable film
Heat at 500W for 1 min
Repeat the microwave step until the whole gel is coloured
Discard the stain solution and add 100ml deionised water to immerse gel.
Add a balled-up kimwipe to the tray and then heat for a few minutes.
Repeat with fresh deionised water.
