Qualitative Faecal Immunochemical Testing

DIAQUICK FOB qualitative faecal immunochemical tests - Easy dip-stick sampler and lateral flow test cassette.

Applications

DIAQUICK FOB cassette is a qualitative faecal immunochemical test (FIT). Unlike traditional chemical methods such as guaiac it uses antibodies that recognise haemoglobin and is not subject to dietary interferences (myoglobin, peroxidases etc).

Method

  • The sample is collected by inserting the dip-stick sampler into the stool at three separate locations

  • The sampling stick is then returned to the tube and the lid tightly closed

  • Shake tube vigorously to extract sample

  • Transfer two drops of the extracted sample onto the specimen well of the lateral flow cassette

  • After 5 minutes the test can be read

Benefits

  • Once the specimen has been taken into the buffer tube the sample can be stored for
up to 3 days at room temperature before testing.

  • Simple, easy to read lateral flow cassette format with procedural control.
