Qualitative Faecal Immunochemical Testing
DIAQUICK FOB qualitative faecal immunochemical tests - Easy dip-stick sampler and lateral flow test cassette.
Applications
DIAQUICK FOB cassette is a qualitative faecal immunochemical test (FIT). Unlike traditional chemical methods such as guaiac it uses antibodies that recognise haemoglobin and is not subject to dietary interferences (myoglobin, peroxidases etc).
Method
The sample is collected by inserting the dip-stick sampler into the stool at three separate locations
The sampling stick is then returned to the tube and the lid tightly closed
Shake tube vigorously to extract sample
Transfer two drops of the extracted sample onto the specimen well of the lateral flow cassette
After 5 minutes the test can be read
Benefits
Once the specimen has been taken into the buffer tube the sample can be stored for
up to 3 days at room temperature before testing.
Simple, easy to read lateral flow cassette format with procedural control.
