Sealing film AeraSeal™ 100m roll for use with automated sealing instruments for Cell and Tissue Culture

AeraSeal™ is a 140µm thick hydrophobic, porous, rayon sealing film designed for tissue culture plates. It features a medical-grade, non-cytotoxic adhesive that ensures a secure seal while allowing optimal gas exchange. This minimises cross-contamination, spillage, and evaporation, making it ideal for cell and bacterial culture growth. Unlike plate lids which favour exchange for wells near the edges, AeraSeal ensures uniform air and CO2 exchange across all wells.

This film provides a hydrophobic and highly gas-permeable barrier, ensuring efficient aeration while preventing contamination and evaporation. The film is easily pierceable with serological pipets and pipette tips, allowing for direct sample recovery. Recommended for temperatures from -20C to +80C. It has a pore size from 10µm to 50µm and a moisture vapour transmission rate of 4,200 g/m2/24h. Each roll contains approximately 830 sheets which has dimensions of 82.6 by 142.9 mm for standard-size tissue culture plates.

AeraSeal Roll-Seal facilitates precise alignment, easy application, and contamination-free storage. This roll format offers fast, hands-free high-throughput sealing, completing each plate in 2.5-5 seconds without requiring manual handling of individual sheets. Its heat-free application prevents damage to sensitive samples, eliminates plate warping, and avoids robotic handling issues. It lowers the per-plate sealing cost compared to sheet seals or heat-seal films. The three-inch plastic cores prevent fibre dust contamination, ensuring a clean lab environment.
