BD Vacutainer® CPT™ Cell Preparation Glass Tubes for Collection and Separation of mononuclear Blood Cells

The BD Vacutainer® CPT™ Cell Preparation Glass Tubes with buffered sodium heparin anticoagulant, liquid density media and an inert gel barrier, are a fully closed system, providing a simple method for separating Peripheral Blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). Whole blood is drawn directly and processed in the same tube, streamlining steps for mononuclear cell separation, therefore reducing variabilities from sample processing. The Glass tubes can be identified by a red/green cap.

This glass tube has an 8.0ml draw volume and measures 16mm diameter and 125mm height with FICOLL™ to enable for fast gradient separation. The cap has a butyl rubber tube stopper recessed inside the plastic shield, preventing exposure to blood present on the stopper.

The tube can yield up to 15 million PBMCs with centrifugation times of 20 minutes. The BD CPT™ enables preparation consistency and faster separations. In post separation, the gel barrier provides clear cell separation and prevents re-mixing. Additionally, the cells are stable in the primary tube for up to 24 hours, depending on downstream application.

Centrifugation conditions:
1500-1800g for 20 minutes at 18-25°C

This product is provided in cases of 60 tubes.
