Mammalian HDAC Class I: Localised in the nucleus similar to RPD3 enzyme. Includes HDAC1-3, 8
Mammalian HDAC Class II: Localised in the nucelus and cytoplasm, shuttles between the two. Similar to HDAC1 enzyme. Includes HDAC4-7, 9, 10.
Mammalian HDAC Class III:NAD-dependent enzyme. Localised in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Also called Sirtuin and similar to SIR2 enzyme. Includes Sirt1-7
Piceatannol is an activator of SIRT1(HDAC Class III) and also inhibits the non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase Syk
