Gliclazide 10g produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemical Corporation

Gliclazide stimulates secretion of insulin by the beta cells in the pancreas. This second generation, sulphonylurea anti-diabetic compound produces a hypoglycaemic effect and reduces blood glucose. Such agents have been used in the management of type II diabetes but not Type I diabetes, where the pancreas does not produce insulin. It is also potassium channel blocker.
