Alpha-casein (α-casein) from bovine milk is a highly phosphorylated protein. This product is a mixture of dephosphorylated α-casein and native (non-dephosphorylated) α-casein. It is available as a control protein for protein phosphorylation analysis. It can be detected as two bands, α-casein and dephosphorylated α-casein, in SDS-PAGE with gels containing Phos-tag™ Acrylamide (Phos-tag SDS-PAGE).
