Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are produced by cells and carry microRNAs (miRNA), they are currently gathering increasing interest for their recognised functions. The process of extracting miRNA from EV is an important step that is directly linked to the analysis results.
Specifically designed for total RNA extraction, including miRNA from EVs derived from cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma. The kit uses a proteolytic enzyme, a chaotropic agent, and spin columns to obtain microRNAs. No need to use toxic chemicals such as phenol or chloroform.
Ideal for comprehensive analysis as it requires only low volume of elution buffer for efficient RNA retrieval. Suited for extracting EV miRNA for analysis in various applications, such as RT-qPCR, Microarray, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and more.
