25mg Y-27632 ((R)-(+)-trans-N-(4-Pyridyl)-4-(1-aminoethyl)cyclohexanecarboxamide Dihydrochloride Monohydrate)

Y-27632 is a cell-permeable small molecule with several functions. It affects these functions primarily through its strong, selective inhibition of ROCK (Rho-associated coiled-coil forming kinase/Rho binding kinase), inhibiting both ROCK1 and ROCK2 forms. This allows for functions such as smooth muscle contraction.

Y-27632 has also been shown to suppress apoptosis in embryonic stem cells (ES) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS). Y-27632 has been used in the recovery and passage of iPSCs and is now standardly used in the preparation of iPSC cultures. Y-27632 supplementation has proven extremely useful in iPSC cultivation though its increased cell survival rate, improved plating and cloning efficiency, enhanced cryopreservation and differentiation process and its promotion of embryoid body formation.

This product is supplied as 25mg, packed on inactive gas. A 5mg pack is also available (259-00613).
