N2 Supplement with Transferrin(Apo) manufactured by FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation
This N2 supplement with Transferrin(Apo) is a general-purpose supplement primarily used as a serum substitute in the culture of nerve cells. It is perfect for use with primary culture of both nerve cells and stem cells. When used with undifferentiated nerve stem cells this supplement maintains their undifferentiated state, in contrast to FBS traditionally used for cell culture, which contains components that can trigger differentiation in stem cells.
The Apo form of transferrin, unbound to iron, is used in this supplement. Some cultures have been shown to proliferate more favourably with this Apo form than the bound Holo form of transferrin. We can provide this product with either form of transferrin, thereby covering all of your stem cell culture needs.
