3,3',5-Triiodo-L-thyronine Sodium Salt is a thyroid hormone that signals by binding to nuclear receptors and regulating the expression of a wide range of gene products.
It promotes differentiation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells or maturation of human iPS cell-derived cardiomyocytes. Thyroid hormone signalling has also been reported to act on cone subtype determination in retinal cell differentiation.
