Keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) is part of the Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) family of proteins promoting cell differentiation and proliferation. The FGF family have a central role in prenatal development and postnatal growth. KGF is also known as FGF7 and stimulates keratinocyte-specific epithelial cell division and is involved in kidney and lung development, vascularisation and wound healing. The signalling pathway is mediated by the b slice-variant of FGF receptor 2 (FGFR2b).

Reconstitute in PBS to a concentration of 0.5-1.0mg/ml. This working solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
