Anti-Human Amyloid β mouse monoclonal antibody clone BA27 produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemical Corporation
Beta Amyloid protein is a major component of senile plaques, formed in brains of Alzheimer's disease patients. Beta Amyloid can exist as a 40 or 42 amino acid peptide which is produce by cleavage of the Amyloid Precursor protein by beta- or gamma-Secretase. Beta Amyloid has several types differing in length of the amino acid. The main types are beta Amyloid 40 (40 amino acid), beta Amyloid 42 (42 amino acid), and beta Amyloid 43 (43 amino acid). The 42 amino acid form of beta Amyloid is more prone to aggregate than the 40 a.a. form and initial beta amyloid deposition begins with beta Amyloid 42.
