Anti-CX3CR1 polyclonal antibody for immunohistochemistry by FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation.
CX3CR1 is G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) specific for the chemokine, fractalkine CX3CL1. It is known to play a crucial role in cell survival, migration and proliferation. Expressed on macrophages and microglia, it is used as a marker for the identification of these cells. Studies have shown that in CX3CR1 deficient mice, synaptic pruning by microglia is not sufficient, resulting in abnormal synaptic transmission between neurons, and it is thought to be required for synaptic pruning. CX3CR1 expression may be of interest to those studying cognitive dysregulation in brain disease and injuries.
Wako’s Anti CX3CR1 polyclonal primary antibody was raised in guinea pig, using a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N terminus of CX3CR1 as immunogen. Anti-CX3CR1 is specific to microglia and macrophages but will not cross react with neurons or astrocytes It is a great tool to perform multiplex immunohistochemistry (Frozen section).
Suggested working concentration for immunohistochemistry is 1:800-1,600
