These Drummond Nanoject™ III Replacement Bores are made from Borosilicate Glass and supplied ready for pulling to the required tolerance. They are 7 inches (177.8mm) in length with an outer diameter of 1.14mm and an inner diameter of 0.53mm. The glass softening point is 780 C, ideal for producing microinjection capillaries with a tip size in the 10-30 micron range. Microinjection capillary pullers can range from simple spring/counter weight mechanical pullers to highly sophisticated programmable microprocessor controlled pullers. Pulled tips make piercing of cell membranes much easier and minimise skipping or cell rupturing. Once the tips are pulled, they must be backfilled with oil (or other non-compressible fluids) before attachment to the Drummond Nanoject III™ Auto-Nanolitre Injectors. The Replacement Bores are supplied in a vial of 100. They are also available in a 3.5 inch (88.9mm) length.
