Pack Size: 1x20µg
CE Verified: Research Use Only
Product Information
Lysyl endopeptidase LysC digestive enzyme Mass Spectrometry MS grade manufactured by FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation.
Proteins separated by electrophoresis may be excised from polyacrylamide gels and subject to in-gel digestion with proteolytic enzymes in preparation for further downstream analysis such as mass spectrometry for peptide identification and analysis of post-translation modifications.
The source of this lysyl endopeptidase was originally indicated as “Achromobacter lyticus” based on the physiological and morphological properties of the bacteria. However, the 16sRDNA sequence was found to be highly homologous to that of Lysobacter.
This enzyme is suitable grade for mass spectrometry work.
Lysyl Endopeptidase specifically cleaves the peptides on the carboxyterminal side of lysine residues. (C terminal Lys). Use alone or in combination with Trypsin (C terminal Arg and Lys cleavage) for in-gel digest of protein samples prior to analysis by MALDI-TOF or LS-MS.
Molecular weight 27,500
Activity 0.03 – 0.07 AU/vial
Store at -20C.
