Product Information

We offer a large selection of combs for all our Clarit-E electrophoresis gel tanks, allowing you to tailor the system to your specific requirements. Each comb specifies sample volume per well, ensuring you can choose the perfect fit for your procedures.
Preparatory combs with 1 sample well and 1 marker lane maximises sample processing, while combs with additional wells increase sample capacity. Most combs for vertical systems are available in 4 thickness: thinner combs maximise sample volume for sharp, narrow bans, while thicker combs are ideal for sample recovery.
All combs are labelled with the number of wells, and the different thicknesses are colour coded for easy identification.

Black - 0.75mm for ultra resolved bands.
White - 1mm the most commonly used thickness.
Red - 1.5mm for maximising sample volume.
Blue - 2mm for maximising sample volume.

NOTE: It is important that comb and spacer thickness are the same. All tanks are supplied with plates with 1mm thick spacers but if you want to change the comb thickness, the spacer thickness also needs to be changed.
