Product Information

This blotting insert can be purchased as an optional addition to the Clarit-E Mini Vertical gel tank allowing both PAGE and blotting to be carried out in the same electrophoresis tank. The Blot insert module uses electroblotting to facilitate Western Blotting and protein/nucleic acid transfer. Units are interchangeable with Clarit-E PAGE and tube gel inserts.

Gel capacity is 4x Mini 10x10cm gels. Transfer up to four 10x10cm gels overnight with low intensity. Platinum wire electrodes 8cm apart generate a powerful electric field for efficient transfer. Open design, rigid cassettes maximise current transfer and eliminate 'shadow band' formation; colour coded to ensure proper orientation within the blotting system.

This insert includes blot insert, 4x compression cassettes and 16x fibre pads for use with the Clarit-E Vertical Mini electrophoresis gel tank.
