Quartz Screw-top vials 10ml pack of 10 produced by FUJIFILM Wako Chemicals
Quartz glass is mostly comprised of silicon dioxide (99.99%) and contains hardly any metal impurities (boron, sodium etc) which are seen with other types of glass. Ideal for long term storage as alkali elution due to metal impurities does not occur. High heat resistance enabling sterilisation in autoclaves and dry heat. Can withstand swift temperature changes, suited to rapid heating and rapid cooling protocols. Exhibits good transmission properties for visible light, infrared and ultraviolet.
Ideal for preparing qNMR samples that require accurate weighing, the wide-mouth assists addition of an aluminium weighing dish.
